According to folklore, when Phil sees his shadow on Groundhog Day it means we will have six more weeks of winter weather. If he doesn’t see his shadow then spring weather is just around the corner!
The holiday has now been associated with a movie of the same name. The movie follows Phil Connors, played by Bill Murray, who is stuck in a time loop and must relive Groundhog’s Day over and over again.
